The Espace Chenot Health Wellness Spa promises a rejuvenating and relaxing experience, whilst the hotel's location in Lombardy benefits from easy connections to the biggest cities in Northern Italy, including Milan, Venice and Verona.

Family-friendly: A much-awaited newcomer to Carrier, Sun Gardens, Dubrovnik provides a short haul option with an excellent kids' club and plenty of fun activities to keep children occupied, including tennis facilities, a football pitch, watersports and a climbing wall.

Africa 2017/18

Island sanctuary: From the owners of North Island in the Seychelles, Miavana, Madagascar is a new ultra-luxurious private island lodge offering the most remarkable panoramic ocean views.

Enhanced experiences: Following renovations, both the &Beyond Matetsi River Lodge and Matetsi River House located in the heart of the Matetsi Private Game Reserve, re-opened their doors in August 2016. Initially a short-term venture, Duba Expedition Camp - famed for its Lion and Buffalo interaction - has announced it will remain open permanently.

Onwards and upwards: Uganda is experiencing a significant amount of growth and development. Alongside the Sanctuary Gorilla Forest Camp in Bwindi, we will now be offering more luxury accommodation choices in Uganda, including Kyaninga Lodge, Ishasha Wilderness Camp, Semliki Safari Lodge and Baker's Lodge.

Africa 2017/18

USA, Canada & Mexico 2017/18

Hello to the 'Big Easy': We're excited to introduce the vibrant city of New Orleans to our line-up. Enjoy infectious jazz and blues music in the French Quarter and Bourbon Street, take a steamboat harbour cruise or participate in the annual festivities of Mardi Gras.

Join the celebrations: Canada welcomes its 150th birthday this year. As part of the celebrations, Canada is offering free admission to Parks Canada places throughout 2017. We will be welcoming three new accommodations to our Canadian mix: Knight Inlet Lodge, The Ritz-Carlton, Toronto and Four Seasons Hotel Toronto, in addition to a summer Whistler experience where you can experience the likes of hiking, rock-climbing and mountain biking.

More fun in the sun: There will be plenty of new additions to Orlando in 2017, including a host of high-end restaurants from celebrity American chefs and a brand new water park in Universal Orlando in June, which will feature a chill out lounge and less queuing time. Making it easier to travel, Virgin Atlantic will be increasing its capacity to Orlando from Belfast, Glasgow and Manchester from summer 2017.

In Vogue: New to the Carrier programme this year, visit the historic centre of Mexico City. Experience the famous architecture of Luis Barragán, visit Chapultepec Castle or take a tour from Mexico City to the ultimate beach escape of Los Cabos.

Caribbean, Bermuda & Mexico 2017/18

One to watch: Much anticipated newcomer, Pink Sands Club in Canouan, is located in the heart of The Grenadines and will be welcoming its first guests in October. Those booking a suite can travel in style and take advantage of a complimentary private jet from Barbados.

Foodie favourite: In Antigua, Jumby Bay, A Rosewood Resort's fine dining restaurant Estate House, will re-open this year with a completely new dining concept.

Sail away: New to the Carrier programme this year, Hamilton Princess & Beach Club in Bermuda is named as the official host hotel for the 35th America' s Cup Match, presented by Louis Vuitton in June 2017.

Cool and crafted: Four Seasons Resort & Private Residences Anguilla (previously the Viceroy), will be opening next month. A joint venture between Caribbean Helicopters and Liat, now also provides a reliable service to connect with the British Airways and Virgin Atlantic flights from Antigua.

When privacy is paramount: For the A-listers who don't want to be seen but equally want to be close enough to the action on St Barths, Hotel Le Toiny is tucked away at the eastern end of the island and has always been known as a sanctuary for privacy and exclusivity. What's more, the secluded hillside suites have all been completely redone and will open again in November.

Indian Ocean & Arabia 17/18

Indian Ocean & Arabia 2017/18

Island style: Six Senses Zil Pasyon is a new opening on the private island of Félicité in the Seychelles with just 30 villas and several private residences.

Room with a view: We're excited for the brand new all-villa water accommodations at Four Seasons Resort Maldives at Kuda Huraa to be unveiled in the coming months.

Reassuringly familiar, refreshingly different: The fourth hotel opening within the popular Madinat Jumeirah The Arabian Resort in Dubai, Jumeirah Al Naseem will be ready by the end of the year.

Indian Subcontinent Far East & Australasia 2017/18

In the know: New to the portfolio, Shangri-La's Hambantota Resort & Spa opened this summer overlooking the pristine southern coast in Sri Lanka and is the perfect base from which to explore the Yala and Bundala National Parks.

Trending: 'Spiritual Bali' is a new touring itinerary we've introduced, which includes visits to Ubud, Jimbaran Bay and Uluwatu.

Healing hideaway: The acclaimed destination spa, Chiva Som in Thailand, has received a facelift by architect Ed Tuttle, whose previous work includes Amanpuri (the original Aman Resort). The spa has also introduced five new retreats designed to address specific health issues.

Worldwide 17/18

Luxury Ski & Snow 2016/17

More chalet options: Big Timber Chalet is one of Whistler's largest and newest ski-in, ski-out lodges, whilst White Valley Lodge provides easy access to the slopes of Morzine in France. Laid out in the style of an authentic mountain hamlet, La Mourra Hotel Village in Val d'Isère opened last season and offers the best of both worlds with four private chalets and nine hotel suites.

Snow-sure slopes: This winter, there are weather rumours for a La Niña season in Whistler, Canada, predicting colder temperatures and elevated snowfall levels as the destination benefits from the El Niño phenomenon. To add, Air Canada is offering free carriage of skis/snowboards and boots for all flights between Europe and Canada from 01 November 2016 until 30 April 2017.

Back by popular demand: We've re-introduced Lech and, this season, new lift connections with Lech-Zürs and St. Anton make this the largest linked ski area in Austria and an area to rival Val d'Isere-Tignes in France.

Enhanced experiences: L'Apogée Courchevel, part of the renowned Oetker Collection, will welcome Olympic Ski Champion, Florence Masnada from 12 - 30 March 2017, as she leads guests on a skiing masterclass, including coaching techniques for on-piste skiing, powder skiing and ski touring.

On our radar: The most eastern resort of the Three Valleys, Courchevel will see the opening of brand new Hotel Barriere Les Neiges in December 2016, offering a ski-in, ski-out location at the foot of the Bellecote run.
