Carrier Gift Voucher Terms and Conditions

 

1. Contract

1.1 Carrier ("Carrier" or "we") is the trading name of Carrier Ltd, whose registered office is No 1. Lakeside. Cheadle, Cheshire. SK8 3GW.

 

1.2 These gift voucher terms and conditions govern your purchases of Carrier gift vouchers ("voucher" or "vouchers" or "gift certificates")

 

1.3 There will be no contract between you and Carrier until we confirm your order on receipt of cleared funds for the full amount owed to us.

 

1.4 All bookings using vouchers (as part or full payment) will be subject to Carrier's Booking Terms and Conditions ("Booking Terms and Conditions") which are available from the Carrier website at www.Carrier.co.uk ("website") or from Carrier on telephone number 0161 491 7600.

 

2. Purchase

2.1 You can buy vouchers in the denominations offered by Carrier from time to time and you must pay for them in full when placing your order.

 

2.2 When we accept your order, we will send you a confirmation reference number by post or email.

 

2.3 Vouchers are non-transferable.

 

3. Delivery

3.1 We will endeavour send the voucher to you within 7 working days of acceptance of your order.

 

3.2 When you receive your voucher, you will also receive a voucher serial number. Both the confirmation reference number and the voucher serial number ("Voucher Reference Details") must be quoted when redeeming the voucher or making and enquiry about the voucher.

 

3.3 We will not be responsible for non-delivery or delay of the vouchers due to an incorrect delivery address given by you, postal delays or any other reason outside our control.

 

3.4 Please notify us if you have not received your vouchers within 14 days of the order date. Carrier will re-issue the vouchers provided that they have not already been redeemed.

 

4. Validity and Redemption of Vouchers

4.1 Vouchers will expire 12 months from the date of issue specified on each voucher. A booking using a voucher must be made, but does not have to be taken, before this date.

 

4.2 You can redeem vouchers only in full against any Carrier holiday, including hotels, flights, car hire and travel insurance. With exception of accommodation these cannot be sold as separate items.

 

4.3 Vouchers cannot be redeemed:

 

4.3.1 for the purchase (in whole or in part) of another voucher; or

 

4.3.2 for cash.

 

4.3.3 for transactions which have already been processed by Carrier.

 

4.4 You must quote the voucher reference details (described in clause 3.2) at the time of booking. You need to return the voucher to Carrier within 7 days of making the booking. Carrier reserves the right to cancel the voucher payment if the voucher is not received within the 7 days.

 

4.5 If the booking costs more than the value of the voucher, the difference is payable in accordance with the terms relating to payment contained in the Booking Terms and Conditions.

 

4.6 If the value of your booking is less than the total value of your vouchers we will give you the change in vouchers.

 

4.7 In the event of a gift voucher being claimed on a transaction that is subsequently cancelled, Carrier will be entitled to reclaim the gift voucher and rely on the application of the normal Carrier Booking Terms and Conditions.

 

Any refund associated with your booking will be in vouchers, to the extent that the vouchers were used to pay. Where payment was made in cash and vouchers, and the refund is less than original payment, the cash portion of the payment will be retained before any part of the vouchers

 

5. Payment

5.1 You can pay for vouchers by a valid credit or debit card issued in your name.

 

5.2 If you would like to pay by cheque, please allow 10 working days for the cheque to be banked and cleared before Carrier issue the vouchers.

 

6. Security and Protection

6.1 You should look after your voucher and treat it as if it is cash. In the event of a gift voucher being lost Carrier will not be required to replace the gift voucher certificate under any circumstances.

 

7. Data Protection

 

7.1 We are committed to protecting your privacy. We will use the personal information we collect from you for the purposes of administering your relationship with us, such as processing orders and bookings and for the prevention of fraud.

 

7.2 Although it is not Carrier standard policy, in respect of Honeymoon Contributions, if the Bride and Groom request information regarding the contributions made by individual guests, Carrier reserve the right to provide that information. The names provided will be the same as the details on the contributor's debit or credit card.

 

7.3 Information collected about you will not be used for any other purposes other than those set out in these terms and conditions and will not be disclosed or sold to any other organisations.
