Some of the most recognised - and well-loved - members of the Carrier team are based overseas. They are the faces of Carrier in some of our most popular destinations and here to assist you during your travels.
Avril has been with Carrier since March 2005. She is originally from one of the two central parishes in Barbados, St. George, but now lives in St. Peter to the north, where St. Nicholas Abbey, Farley Hill National Park and The Wildlife Resort are located. Avril spent around six years at Almond Beach Resort before joining Carrier. She loves the fact that she is always on call, which enables her to better identify our guests' likes and dislikes. Her favourite place on the island is Harrisons Cave because "I feel totally relaxed and carefree while I'm there".
Having worked for Carrier for a decade, Janet is well known to our Caribbean guests, many of whom consider her a friend in their home from home. Antigua born and bred, her favourite area on the island is English Harbour, mainly for its historical roots and picturesque scenery. Before joining us, Janet trained flight attendants in safety and customer service; now married with two sons, she says of her role: "All of Carrier's clients are special and we like to treat them accordingly; the best part of my job is welcoming back repeat clients year after year".
Marine has devoted over 20 years to working in travel, eight of which having been spent as a Carrier dedicated representative. Married with two children, she lives in the small village of Bel Air on the East coast of the island. Marine enjoys being the first point of contact on the morning of guests' arrival to help them settle into the resort. She often stays in touch with them after they have left the island and says the best part of her job is "I get to be myself, always smile and be happy, and assist Carrier's guests to make their holiday a dream come true".
Tunisian-born Meriam moved to Dubai seven years ago and has been working in travel ever since. Her role is to arrange and ensure a high standard of airport transfers and excursions for Carrier clients once they are in resort. Her advice to Carrier clients is to spend some time away from the glamorous high-rises at least once to take a desert safari through Dubai's conservation area. She would also encourage guests to experience the emirate from different vantage points: from the air with the Seawings scenic flight and from the marina and lagoons aboard a traditional Dhow or luxurious catamaran.
At all of our other long-haul destinations, Carrier work closely with representation companies, who know the locality extremely well and are best placed to ensure a seamlessly high standard of service throughout your holiday. A tailor-made tour is the best way to experience the diverse highlights of a country or continent. Carrier's reputation has been built on our ability to skilfully plan and execute complex itineraries, drawing on detailed destination knowledge and extensive travels.
