Part of an eco-tourism initiative, this Wilderness premier camp sits in the private Kwedi concession. Unique and contemporary in design, the fourteen thatched suites, divided between north and south camps, feature wooden floors and floor-to-ceiling glass windows opening out onto the plains, a sunken lounge area and indoor and outdoor showers. Outside, there’s a spacious deck with sala and a private plunge pool. A family suite offers two rooms linked by a wooden deck. Each camp features its own communal spaces – a raised lounge, bar and dining area and a viewing deck that juts out into the floodplain. Activities include both land and water based game viewing, mokoro excursions, boat trips, local community visits and nature walks – the varied habitat ensuring year round predators – or simply relaxing around the fire pit or star-gaze from the deck.

The best time to visit Botswana for game viewing in the delta areas is during the dry winter season from April to October when animals are drawn to water sources. Days are warm and sunny although nights can drop below freezing – in October temperatures can be particularly hot. The Okavango area tends to be more moderate than the Kalahari where seasonal differences are more extreme and activities vary according to wet (November – March) and dry (April – October) seasons.
