Surrounded by sausage trees on the banks of the Zambezi, this chic camp comprises eight Bedouin-style tents with open-air bathrooms and personalised butler service. Well-spaced out along the river to give room for elephants to wander between, they feature sumptuous four-poster beds with pure white fabrics and flowing mosquito nets The two luxurious honeymoon suites boast private pools, whilst the two bedroom Kigelia House is ideal for families. A highlight of any stay is the glorious cuisine, served overlooking the river, by a camp fire in the bush or at tables set in the shallows. Breakfasts are buffet style, while afternoon tea is the perfect way to fortify yourself before the afternoon’s adventures. Spot elephant, hippo and lion on foot or on daytime game drives, with night drives an excellent way to glimpse elusive leopard, porcupine and giant eagle owl. The camp operates a fleet of new Toyota Landcruiser vehicles offering guaranteed private guiding. Fishing trips, canoeing and scenic boat cruises can also be arranged.
