Grenada / Calabash Luxury Boutique Hotel & Spa

Due to open at the end of 2018, Calabash Luxury Boutique Hotel is a beguiling beachside sanctuary, where the raison d’être is personal service and a flower-filled setting that is totally conducive to relaxation.

This Caribbean classic, only the fifth property in the region to be awarded Relais & Chateaux status, raises the bar when it comes to tailor-made services – carried out with all the charm and friendly efficiency that you would expect from a true family-run hotel.

Thirty spacious suites – some with their own private pools – form a horseshoe shape leading down to a natural sandy cove. Choose from Junior Suites with spacious sitting areas to Suites with a lounge and separate bedroom; all feature air-conditioned bedrooms, minibars, CD players and tea/coffee making facilities. Five private villas are located close by.

Home-cooked breakfasts are served on your patio or balcony with light tapas-style lunches available in The Beach Club. In the evening, at Rhodes Restaurant, Gary Rhodes’ experience combines with fresh local produce to create tantalising dishes served by candlelight.

Guests may relax around the pool, work out in the fitness room, enjoy sunfish sailing, kayaking and snorkelling or challenge fellow guests to snooker and tennis. Spa treatments using natural products are available in The Spa at Calabash and the yoga pavilion.

When is the best time to visit Grenada?

Grenada is a year round holiday destination with temperatures averaging 24°C-30°C. The winter months between January to April are the most popular months to visit, characterised by warm, generally dry days. Whilst the summer months between June and November tend to be hotter and more humid, with regular showers and the possibility of tropical storms, visitors during these months will often benefit from quieter beaches and excellent offers at many hotels.
