France / Grand-Hôtel du Cap-Ferrat, A Four Seasons Hotel

Epitome of exclusivity and discreet hideaway of the glitterati, set amidst seventeen acres of gardens and shady pines at the tip of the Cap-Ferrat peninsula, with views that inspired Picasso and Matisse. Belle Epoque style graces the elegant rooms and suites with their cream and white marble interiors, some having private plunge pools. Accommodations in the original Heritage Wing have their own expansive terrace, while the contemporary Residence houses the Four Seasons Pool Suites and Deluxe Terrace Sea View Garden Rooms. For complete privacy, a four bedroom private villa can be reserved. Equally glamorous is the Michelin-starred dining at Le Cap with its 600-bottle wine list and exquisite Mediterranean cuisine by Executive Chef Yoric Tièche or eat more casually at Le Club Dauphin by the seafront. All-day alfresco dining can be enjoyed at La Véranda. The spacious state-of-the-art spa, designed by Pierre-Yves Rochon, features men’s and women’s private steam rooms, a sensorial shower and indoor swimming pool. A beautiful Olympic-sized pool stands on the cliff top; a private funicular takes guests down to the shore.

When is the best time to visit France & Monaco?

The southern regions of France and the Côte d’Azur tend to experience more of a Mediterranean climate with hot dry summers and cool winters, whilst the northern region of France has a temperate climate with warm summers and cold winters. May, June and September are good months to enjoy the warmer weather yet avoid the crowds.
