Set in ten acres of shady grounds it offers individually decorated rooms, each a masterpiece of interior design, which are split between Le Mas – a renovated eighteenth century farmhouse – La Bastide and La Villa Candille, which houses six spacious suites, each with an enchanting terrace. In addition to relishing the views, many travel miles to savour the sumptuous culinary creations of David Chauvac in the Michelin-starred Le Candille restaurant, while in summer La Pergola restaurant, with its attached swimming pool, opens for lunch and dinner. The hotel has three swimming pools, a seasonal poolside bar and restaurant – perfect for a dip and refreshments before surrendering mind and body to the pleasures of the resort spa, which will use products and treatments from ESPA exclusively from 2017. A trip into medieval Mougins, where Picasso spent the last years of his life, is always a delight.
