Italy / Borgo Egnazia

Watch video

Open year round, the exclusive Borgo Egnazia echoes the true authenticity of a Puglian Village, thanks to its dazzling interiors that combine tradition with modernity. Expansive grounds reveal three outdoor swimming pools and an array of accommodation.

In addition to elegant and contemporary rooms in the luxurious hotel, there are spacious townhouses, most with Mediterranean gardens and private rooftop terraces offering views towards the Adriatic Sea. Exclusive three bedroom villas, tastefully furnished in a palette of neutral tones, boast expansive living areas, wrap-around balconies with private pools and gardens.

Dining choices range from the sophistication of Due Camini to the delicious grilled fish of Cala Masciola, directly on the beach. This is a place that truly caters for all passions, allowing guests to experience the authenticity of Puglia life through an array of pastorally enthused pursuits, including olive harvesting and traditional cooking classes at the in-house cookery school specialising in plot-to-plate dining.

The sumptuous Vair SPA provides pampering perfection, while creative clubs for kids and teens, a tennis academy, bicycles and two beach club - one sandy, one pebble beach - offering watersports comprises a full complement of activities. Keen golfers are well catered for with the 18-hole San Domenico course within putting-distance of the property.

When is the best time to visit Italy?

Italy is a year round destination especially for city breaks, with a largely temperate climate with regional variations. Summers are hot especially from Rome southwards, whilst spring and autumn are mild. Winter in the south is warmer and drier than in the northern and central areas which can be much colder with snow fall in the mountainous regions.
