Costa del Sol / Marbella Club Hotel, Golf Resort & Spa

The Family Travellers

A curated edit of luxury holidays that transcend just the destination

A legendary resort, situated just along the coastline from Puerto Banus – this is the perfect accommodation for a luxury holiday to Spain. Marbella Club Hotel is renowned for its gentle blend of privacy and elegance. Surrounded by lush gardens, it is one of The Leading Hotels of the World and has many accolades for outstanding hospitality and service. The guestrooms and suites are exquisitely furnished with garden and sea views available. Villa del Mar and 13 luxury villas feature Andalucian-style architecture and their own gardens, some offering private heated pools. The gastronomic lure is the delectable cuisine, prepared by award-winning Executive Chef Juan Gálvez, who creates all of the restaurants’ menus. Experience traditional Mediterranean and Spanish dishes at the Grill Restaurant, try the contemporary Euro-fusion menu at the MC Café, or sip Champagne in the opulent surroundings of the Champagne Room. The 18-hole golf course, designed by Dave Thomas, and an equestrian centre both lie twenty minutes from the hotel. The idyllic location also allows guests to discover Marbella Old Town where quaint cobbled streets lead you to the striking square - perfect for watching the flamenco dancers. Lie back for blissful days by the two heated outdoor pools or enjoy holistic treatments at the luxurious beachfront Thalasso Spa. Children from four to fourteen are entertained in the kids’ club by Minimec and there are a range of seasonal watersports available, making this hotel ideal for a family holiday. Couples will also appreciate the secluded environment and romantic ambiance that exists throughout this luxury resort.

At the peak of his fame his hotel, Marbella Club, situated on the Golden Mile, was Audrey Hepburn, Cary Grant and Sir Laurence Olivier's hangout of choice.

When is the best time to visit Spain?

Mainland Spain’s climate varies from temperate in the north to dry and hot in the south. Spring and autumn are pleasant and warm whereas July and August are hot, particularly inland. In Mallorca sunshine and warm temperatures are the norm from April to October with the cooling influence of the sea preventing excessive temperatures during the peak summer months, winters are mild and dry with occasional showers. Tenerife and Gran Canaria are year-round destinations, the climate being constantly warm for most of the year with July and August being hot.
