Queensland / InterContinental Hayman Island Resort

Set within lush gardens neighbouring a long sugar white beach in the Whitsunday Passage, Hayman Island Resort is reopening its doors in 2019 under new owners, InterContinental. One of Australia’s most desirable island resorts, accommodation is split between three areas – the Pool Wing, Beach Wing and Lagoon Wing – all with beautifully appointed rooms, suites and penthouses featuring balconies or terraces with unrivalled island views. Should you want to make the island feel more like home, the three bedroom Hayman Beach House offers three private pools and direct access to the beach.

Indulge in world class cuisine from one of the resort’s four restaurants; signature restaurant, Pacific, serves modern Australian, savour a vibrant noodle dish in Bam Bam, share a wood fired pizza in Amalfi Coast-inspired Amici Trattoria, or enjoy a poolside table at Aqua. In this tropical oasis beside the kaleidoscopic attractions of the Great Barrier Reef, be pampered with treatments in the renewed Hayman Spa or relax by the sparkling waters of the iconic Hayman Pool. If you are looking for an adventure, activities range from Great Barrier Reef helicopter tours and sunset sails, to water sports galore including snorkelling and guided jet ski tours. Home to Planet Trekkers Kids Club, your little ones will be kept busy with insightful sand flat expeditions and the opportunity to feed the resident giant Queensland Grouper, Jacko.
