Review / Four Seasons Sayan Review

“If I had to choose just one hotel to stay at in Bali, this would be it”

Recently back from a visit to Indonesia, Sally explains why Four Seasons Resort Bali at Sayan stole her heart...

Finding / that sense of place

Immaculately presented in what can only be described as the perfect setting overlooking the River Ayung, Four Seasons Resort Bali at Sayan is the authentic, tranquil retreat I had been looking for. Hidden amongst expansive rainforest gardens, just 60 spacious suites and villas mixing contemporary and Balinese décor provide splendid views down to working rice paddy fields – a sight which gives you the feeling of really being in the heart of Ubud. As you would expect from a Four Seasons Resort, the dining experiences, the level of service and the accommodation itself were faultless, but what really stood out for me were the spa facilities; the Sacred River Spa takes both wellness and spiritual services to a whole new level. Treatments range from chakra balancing ceremonies to traditional Balinese Ayurvedic healing rituals; organic body envelopments to anti-gravity yoga practices. Simply extraordinary in every way.
