Famed for its spellbinding scenery and compelling culture, Vietnam is a truly mesmerising country.
We arrived into the capital of Vietnam, Hanoi and checked into Sofitel Legend Metropole Hanoi. I immediately noticed the central location – the hotel has easy access to the main tourist areas. Nearby attractions include Hanoi Opera House, Ba Dinh Square, Ngoc Son Temple, St Joseph’s Cathedral and Dong Xuan Market. As soon as I entered the hotel I felt like I was stepping back in time.
The décor is extremely elegant and the whole interior design exudes grandeur. The rooms and suites are divided between the historic wing and the opera wing; I stayed in the opera wing and would really recommend this part for guests that want a more contemporary space.
Le Beaulieu is a sophisticated restaurant within the hotel that serves the most authentic French cuisine in Vietnam – I would highly recommend the Sunday brunch.
The location is absolutely perfect for those who want to explore the area and sightsee. One of my favourite excursions was when we went on a rickshaw ride around the city.
