Review / Review of Conrad Maldives Rangali Island

Vicky Holding & Lindsay Ingham

"Our thoughts as we prepared to leave were that it would be extremely hard to find a location as stunning as Conrad Maldives; it is its own nirvana."

Welcome / to a tropical idyll

Conrad Maldives spans across two idyllic islands connected by a bridge. The main island of Rangalifinolhu is ideal for families - it includes a number of unique features just for children such as the Ice Cream Spa, where kids can devour as much ice cream (in seemingly endless exciting flavours) as they wish. Across the bridge, Rangali Island is the stuff that honeymoon dreams are made of. Scattered with enchanting water villas set on stilts over the lagoon, these sleek and contemporary abodes are most popular with couples seeking quality time together while surrounded by natural beauty. Each of the villas have been carefully designed to maximise on privacy, and come complete with steps leading straight down into the warm Indian ocean.

Excursions here include a two person submarine dive to see the resident manta rays and other exotic marine life, and the all-time favourite ‘Sandbar Picnic' – a day-trip on a yacht, with a drop-off on a deserted island where a romantic meal lies in wait for you on the beach. During our visit we also spent an evening in The Cheese and Wine Bar with the lead sommelier, leaning about flavours that best complement each other.

Our thoughts as we prepared to leave were that it would be extremely hard to find a location as stunning as Conrad Maldives; it is its own nirvana.
