The high Al Hajar Mountains are the setting for this seductive resort where all suites and villas offer captivating views and enchanting individual design touches such as a wall decorated with a hand-painted juniper tree. Choose from a Mountain View Suite with a balcony overlooking the pool and a dramatic gorge, or a Horizon View Suite featuring a spacious terrace that’s perfect for watching the sunsets and stars. The Juniper restaurant caters for every taste, from Arabian inspired cuisine to exquisite Mediterranean dishes, while the Rose Lounge is the place to enjoy lighter fare. Indeed, roses are very much the resort’s symbol, from the rose water that features in many Omani dishes to the hillsides swathed in damask roses from March to May. Refresh mind and body in the Spa Alila where ancient healing techniques include herbal infusions and massages incorporating vibrations from a singing bowl. There are local villages, caves and canyons to explore, with soulful walks amongst orchards of walnuts and pomegranates. Children are welcome at Play Alila, the club that gives youngsters their own space and plenty of toys and games to keep them engaged and entertained throughout their stay.
