Review / Review of Raffles Seychelles

Francessca Harding & Merridith Lewis-George

“Offering the largest spa in the Seychelles just steps away from the coastline of Anse Takamaka, with 12 treatment pavilions overlooking the ocean and 2 spa suites, Raffles on the paradisiacal island of Praslin is the place to stay if you are looking for ultimate relaxation and rejuvenation."

As well as an enviable list of treatments, the spa offers a range of yoga and meditation sessions in the tranquil surroundings of the movement pavilion to promote wellbeing and balance. Yet there's more to Raffles than rest and relaxation...

Great for / lazy days

Aside from the spa, our favourite elements of the resort were the two 45 metre long outdoor infinity pools, around which huge double day beds were strategically stationed for maximum poolside pleasure. Poolside service ensures you need not leave the comfort of the day beds and - for those who enjoy it - shisha is also served around the pool bar. It was here we opted to try the Signature Praslin Sling – Raffle’s signature cocktail designed specifically for the Praslin resort, and created with gin from the famous Sipsmith gin producers.

Family Friendly

Those travelling with children will appreciate the Sugar Palm Club, dedicated to the care and entertainment of toddlers, children and even teenagers on the resort. Family-friendly activities include complimentary use of all non-motorised water sports, including stand up paddle boarding, snorkelling, and kayaking, while PADI diving courses are also available at an additional cost. The Two Bedroom Beach Front Villas are just moments away from the beach and ideal for families; featuring  two en suite bathrooms, indoor and outdoor rain showers and deep soak tubs, as well as an open air balcony with sundeck chairs, sheltered day bed, dining table, dedicated barbeque set up and a plunge pool, there is almost no reason to leave the sanctuary of the villa space at all

The Sugar Palm Kids Club caters for those as young as 3 and as old as 18, which is a vast and unique age range.  Split into three separate themed rooms based on their age groups, the children are free to socialise, play and interact with each other while their parents enjoy the island. All children will also receive a special memento, courtesy of the resort.
