It’s here that guests can enjoy the outstanding comfort of Sabi Sabi Bush Lodge – your luxury home in the bush - with its mix of well-spaced suites and two-bedroom luxury villas – the latter with private pool – and the Mandleve Presidential abode with a real wow factor for honeymooners that comes with its own private vehicle, ranger and tracker. Earthy tones predominate throughout the glass-fronted suites, which have private patios for memorable vistas. Big 5 safaris depart night and day, together with specialist photographic excursions and stargazing adventures. Unwind with a post-safari massage in the plush Amani Bush Spa or relax at one of the two expansive safari decks, overlooking a well frequented waterhole. The lodge has two outdoor pools to cool off during the summer days. Kids will love the EleFun children’s centre where fun activities are arranged by professional child minders.
A year round destination, but expect cooler weather in the Eastern and Western Capes during winter, between June and August. Mpumalanga stays warm year round with temperatures, humidity and rainfall all increasing in the summer months between October and March. The whales return to the waters around Hermanus from July to November, and the spring months of August and September are particularly colourful along the Garden Route.
The prime time for game viewing is generally the drier winter and spring months from April to September when animals frequent the waterholes. During the wetter summer months between October and March, animals can still be viewed but are more widely dispersed – from December to February there may be more sightings of newborn animals.
