Accommodation
There is a meditative ambience throughout the resort which features thirty one free standing suites each bearing a strong Balinese influence. The terrace of each suite is furnished with a large daybed for indulgent relaxation, whilst air-conditioned interiors boast canopied four-poster beds, luxury terrazzo-tiled bathrooms and coconut-wood dressing areas. Nine of the suites have private pools.
The Restaurant is open for dinner and offers a mix of Asian and Western cuisine, whilst The Terrace serves breakfast and lunch. Stroll the elevated walkways which link the suites to breathtaking three tiered clifftop swimming pool or take the steps down to Amankila’s Beach Club where facilities include windsurfing, kayaks, hobie-cats and cruising.
If you want to do more than just fly and flop when you come to Bali, Amankila is the resort for you. There are many activities to choose from, including horse trekking, diving and mountain biking,
Karangasem is located close to Amakila and is home to the last royal water palace. The palace is ornately decorated in a Romanesque style - influences also found at Amankila.
Make sure you climb the nearby Mount Agung volcano during your stay - head up early with a private guide in time to watch the sun rise over the Lombok Strait.
Bali and Lombok have a hot, tropical climate year round, with May to September being the most popular months to visit when there is less humidity. Bintan Island is best visited during the dry season, March to November.
