Once a lodging house in the Civil War era, this Relais & Châteaux balconied white clapboard inn is bursting with history and character. Accommodation consists of nine eclectically furnished guest rooms and two spacious suites, each individually designed and named with local connotations.
Fine wines from the 500-bottle cellar are paired with the sophisticated farm-to-table dining at 275 Main, while Tracks tavern serves classic pub fare. Guests can also experience private dining in the Wine Cellar, where a distinctly serene and tranquil ambience prevails – choose from the chef’s specially prepared tasting menu or a selection of à la carte dishes. Complimentary access to the nearby Sugarbush Health and Racquet Club, with its lap pool and Jacuzzi, is provided for the those seeking more active pursuits.
New England has four distinct seasons and is truly a year-round destination. In the summer season, days are sunny and warm, but the night air can sometimes be cooler in northern mountains and coastal regions. The fall months bring the best travelling weather where the air is crisp and cool. The winter season is snowy, with around 35 inches per year in the south of the region, whilst the upper mountains receive over 100 inches annually. Spring is mild but showers can be expected.
