Aside from scores of winter sports and laid-back après-ski, the village’s gastronomic scene is top class, from inviting stuben to steakhouses. Set at a lofty height of 1800m, doorstep access to Arosa’s 70km of high, snow-sure skiing is complemented by 155km of skiing in nearby Lenzerheide, connected since 2014 by a state-of-the-art cable car to create one of the biggest ski areas in Switzerland. Beginners have easy snow-sure slopes to learn on and a good snow kindergarten while intermediates can explore the sizeable network of blue and red runs that comprise 88% of the ski area.
