Luxury Travel: All-time Favourites
Melanie Marsh, Sales Consultant at Carrier

Find out why Whistler is Melanie’s all-time favourite.

Whistler will remain as one of my favourite destinations for family holidays for years to come. With two spectacular mountains, visitors can expect majestic slopes, spellbinding scenery and varied terrain. I’m always particularly impressed with the range of abilities that are catered for – whether you are an avid skier or starting from scratch – Whistler will accommodate you with everything you need. I experienced everything from snowmobiling and zip-lining to relaxing in an outdoor heated pool surrounded by the sparkling snow-capped mountains. One of the highlights of my trip was being welcomed by the ski concierge at the bottom of the mountain with a delicious hot chocolate after a thrilling day on the slopes. Mallard Lounge at Fairmont Chateau Whistler is also a wonderful setting to enjoy an après ski drink following an action-packed day.

Snowfall

Whistler and Blackcomb are two side-by-side mountains which offer some of the best skiing in the world. This ski resort has one of the longest ski seasons in North America and next season is expected to be a strong La Nina which brings excellent snow fall in Whistler and Blackcomb. La Nina means that temperatures will be lower than average with abundant snowfall.
