"This is a small, relaxed and friendly hotel with a traditional alpine feel and full of charm."
As you walk in to the hotel, the reception leads out to a cosy but fairly spacious lounge & bar area with plenty of room to relax; traditional wood and stone décor complements the view of the snow-covered blue run slope leading back to the hotel, while a roaring log fire beckons you to linger and relax. With many longstanding members of staff, the hotel really prides itself on its excellent – and consistent – levels of service. Both the chef and the delightful barman have been there since the Olympics were held in 1992.
Its location is excellent, offering ski-in, ski-out on a blue run. Despite being only steps away from the centre of Meribel, it retains a peaceful feeling due to being tucked away from the main road and, as a Relais & Châteaux property, the focus is clearly on the character, food and service. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Le Grand Coeur & Spa to couples and families who want the relaxed luxury offered by a well-established hotel with emphasis on excellent cuisine.
