Ski & Snow / Val d’Isere & Sainte-Foy, France

The slopes and glaciers of Val d’Isère encompass over 300 kilometres of prime ski terrain with an enviable snow record and dedicated clientele who return year after year. Renowned for its lively nightlife and legendary skiing, Val d’Isère’s partly-pedestrianised resort centre exudes the alpine authenticity of a mountain village enhanced by designer shops, Michelin-starred restaurants and a natural ice rink. Spirited après-ski at the top of La Daille gondola is a lively precursor to the energetic nightlife back down in the village. Glorious skiing on high altitude slopes abounds with wide crystal boulevards, moguls and challenging couloirs, perfect for experts and intermediates and regarded as one of the best resorts for off-piste skiing. 20km from Val d’Isère, the picturesque village of Sainte Foy offers authenticity and traditional French charm in abundance. In addition to some of the best off-piste in the French Alps, 41km of local pistes offer refreshingly quiet and relaxed family friendly skiing while mileage hungry skiers and boarders will relish the opportunity to ski a different resort every day with Val d’Isère, Tignes, La Thuile, La Rosière and Les Arcs all within easy reach of our featured chalet where complimentary transfers by Mercedes are included.

The skiing links over to Tignes, one of the highest and most snow-sure resorts in the Alps. The area offers pristine powder fields, on-piste cruising for all levels and several snow parks. Glacier skiing above 3000m is reached in just seven minutes via the Grande Motte funicular from Tignes.
