Great Bear Rainforest, British Columbia / Nimmo Bay Wilderness Resort

Escape to the wilderness on British Columbia’s northwest coast at this family run resort, commanding an enviable location in the Great Bear Rainforest surrounded by rainforest, mountains, islands, bay and fjords. The area is rich in wildlife and activities on offer include grizzly bear-watching, salmon fishing, glacier tours, whale-watching and heli hiking. Accommodation comprises nine private cabins, most with views of the bay. Choose between intertidal or streamside; each one created with the surrounding environment and utmost comfort in mind. Dinner begins with aperitifs in the cosy lodge or on a floating fire dock before moving into the dining room to feast on fresh coastal cuisine. A picnic lunch is served in a different location each day, be it on a beach or glacier or beside a stream. Relax with a massage or in one of the two cedar hot tubs beside the waterfall.

Price per person including 3 nights accommodation on a full board basis with selected house alcoholic beverages, all guided activities including bear viewing, whale watching, kayaking, hiking, stand up paddle board, yoga classes, boat tours, waterfall tours boat picnics, adventure gear (hiking boots, fishing waders, rain jackets and trousers, wetsuits, fishing equipment,  use of games room, gratuities and round trip floatplane transfers from Port Hardy. Excludes fishing excursions and helicopter adventures. 

Nimmo Bay Wilderness Resort offers 3 night, 4 night and 7 night willderness and wildlife packages, open seasonally from early May to late October. Experiences are available for arrivals on Monday and Thursdays only.

Our pricing aims to give an indication of the prices in low and high season. Low season pricing for Canada is typically between October to April, and high season between May to September. Some lodges may close during the winter months. Prices are per person based on three nights accommodation (unless otherwise indicated) and exclude flights and transfers.
