Porto, Douro Valley / Wines of the Douro Valley

Simply put, this is one of the most exceptional food and wine experiences in Portugal.

The stunning Douro Valley is the world’s oldest and most exciting wine region, also famed for its extraordinary gastronomical scene. This week-long immersion will introduce you to owners of some of the most revered wine and port estates, as well as offering you some of the finest cuisine in some of the most picturesque locations.

Take a tour of the Ramos Pinto cellars in Porto and blend your very own port wine which we can have bottled and sent back to your home. Enjoy a private tour around Graham’s famous port cellars, culminating in a tasting of one of their earliest ports blended in 1882, followed by a beautiful dinner on their private terrace overlooking the Douro Valley.

Spend time at the Six Senses resort, enjoying rare wines and pampering treatments. Sail aboard the Friendship I, voyaging upstream to the Vesuvio Estate to enjoy a beautiful lunch. Then spend the night on an exclusive fly camp, sleeping under the stars. Round off your trip with a visit to Quinta do Bom Retiro, spending time with their expert winemaker, a private tour of the vineyard and a vertical tasting over lunch on the terrace - the most splendid finish to a truly epicurean journey.
