News / Introducing: USA, Canada & Mexico 2018/19

The North American continent offers diversity quite like no other. From iconic cities and neighbourhoods in the USA to the spectacular open spaces in Canada; from enchanting private islands away from the crowds in Hawaii to rich history and culture in Mexico – we look at what’s new and worth a visit in the coming year.

What’s new for 2018/19

Newly opened in 2017, the Waldorf Astoria Beverly Hills in California oozes contemporary Hollywood glamour. Offering 170 rooms and suites over 12 floors, guests can take in the sweeping views of the Hollywood Hills, Sunset Boulevard or Century City from their rooms. The only La Prairie Spa in Los Angeles is to be found here, and with six treatment rooms as well as a fitness centre and an amazing roof top pool with private cabanas, wellness is a key element of any stay.

Further west, Four Seasons Resort Lanai is located on Hawaii’s smallest inhabited islet. This property offers a small island experience but with all the luxury of the Four Seasons brand. Following the multi-million pound renovations in 2016, the new cliff-side NOBU LA - NA‘I restaurant showcasing Japanese cuisine is worth a reservation. Guests can also look forward to experiencing secluded beaches, misty mountain hikes and spinner dolphin spotting in Hulopoe Bay.

Our new addition for Mexico this year is Chileno Bay Resort & Residences in Los Cabos. Accommodation ranges from rooms to suites, with a selection of 2-6 bed villas also being available, making it the perfect choice for couples, families and groups of friends alike. Offering a magnificent contemporary escape on a glorious coral-fringed beach, the resort is beautifully located in a protected cove with pristine reefs. Water lovers will be thrilled to learn that the tranquil waters make it ideal for both swimming and snorkelling, while avid golfers can fine tune their swings at the 18-hole Tom Fazio designed course.

Trending: Florida

Florida is becoming increasingly popular for the 2018 school holidays. Here at Carrier, we can book accommodation 18 months in advance and, when pre-booking Walt Disney World Resort tickets with us, guests can be linked to the My Disney experience enabling them to pre book attractions and dining options. We highly recommended utilising this, as key attractions like character breakfasts and Cinderella’s Royal Table fill up exceptionally fast.

Guests booking with Carrier and staying at the Hard Rock Hotel at Universal will receive a complimentary Universal Express pass, plus early admission to The Wizarding World of Harry Potter and Universal’s Volcano Bay.

Extraordinary experiences

The USA has more than just larger-than-life theme parks and epic road trips – Carrier can offer a whole host of personalised and unique experiences; from a night visit to Alcatraz to behind the scenes at Broadway, and from a night at the American History Museum with a scientist to a VIP meet and greet at a LA Lakers game, anything is possible. In neighbouring Canada, for complete immersion into the Canadian wilderness, book an unforgettable stay at a unique property such as Sonora Resort. The memories of watching bears up close from a private zodiac and tossing fish into the talons of bald eagles will last a lifetime. Alternatively, embark on an exciting adventure through the Rockies to the Columbia Icefield – hike, ride and climb over rock and stone formations with the help of crampons and a professional guide.
