    Méribel

    Occupying a central position in the Three Valleys, Méribel promises unrivalled access across this vast ski area. Typically drenched in sun, with a lively atmosphere come night time, this low-rise chalet style resort is a favourite for all abilities and post-piste shenanigans.

    Cervinia

    Linked to Zermatt for extensive skiing opportunities, high altitude Cervinia boasts impressive scenery with fine views from the miles of wide, well-groomed slopes and a superb terrain park.. Relax into endless snow-sure pistes, ideal for cruising beneath crisp blue skies late into the season. Beginners will enjoy the excellent village nursery slope which graduates to fine blue runs around Plan Maison, while sweeping intermediate runs extend towards Valtournenche culminating in a spectacular 13km run.

    Cortina d'Ampezzo

    Endless pistes dramatically back dropped by snow-dusted forests and the spellbinding pink-hued granite peaks of the Dolomiti Superski Area; Cortina d’Ampezzo’s slopes are liberally sprinkled with welcoming mountain restaurants serving high class Italian fare. The long and easy cruising runs are perfect for intermediates, and beginners have large nursery slopes to learn on. The mighty Dolomiti Superski lift pass covers both areas.

    Villars

    From the village, take the mountain railway to the scenic runs at the top of Bretaye or the gondola to the Roc d’Orsay. Families and beginners will love the wide, uncrowded pistes and gentle nursery slopes, while intermediates can test their skills on the delightful long cruising runs from Meilleret to Les Diablerets – an unspoilt village which sits beneath the imposing Diablerets Glacier. Expert skiers can hire a guide and explore surprisingly good off-piste. Lift passes of three days or more increase the ski area to 232 kilometres by including Glacier 3000, Leysin and Les Mosses, accessible by rail or road.

    Arosa

    Set in a chocolate box landscape of forests and frozen lakes, Arosa has a laid back traditional Swiss ambience and a friendly welcome. Aside from laid-back après-ski, scores of winter sports activities span picturesque forest trails for winter walking plus tobogganing, snowshoeing, curling, ice skating and paragliding.

    Lech

    Beginners will find dedicated nursery slopes in Lech and Zürs and gentle progressive runs. No expense has been spared in ultra-fashionable Lech, from heated chair lifts and plush accommodation to stylish après in the form of gourmet restaurants and champagne bars, frequented by the impeccably dressed glitterati. This exclusivity is taken up a notch above the traditional village though, where the enclave of traffic-free Oberlech sits at 1,750m, offering doorstep skiing and picture-perfect views.

    Whistler
