    Méribel

    Occupying a central position in the Three Valleys, Méribel promises unrivalled access across this vast ski area. Typically drenched in sun, with a lively atmosphere come night time, this low-rise chalet style resort is a favourite for all abilities and post-piste shenanigans.

    Val d' Isere

    The slopes and glaciers of Val d’Isère encompass over 300km of prime ski terrain with an enviable snow record, so there’s no wonder its full of dedicated clientele who return year after year. Regarded as one of the best resorts for off-piste skiing, glorious high altitude slopes abounds with wide crystal boulevards, moguls and challenging couloirs, perfect for experts and intermediates. The skiing links over to Tignes, one of the highest and most snow-sure resorts in the Alps offering pristine powder fields, on-piste cruising for all levels and several snow parks. Glacier skiing above 3000m is reached in just seven minutes via the Grande Motte funicular from Tignes.

    Verbier

    Set in Switzerland’s largest ski region, the acclaimed Four Valleys, Verbier offers extensive and varied skiing; and some of the best lift-served off-piste in the Alps. Over 400 kilometres of superb terrain provide endless challenges for all abilities. Experts will love the snow-sure Mont Fort glacier, steep black mogul fields and superb off-piste, whilst intermediates will enjoy the gentle area of Savoleyres and the red runs around Les Attelas and Les Ruinettes. The high altitude of the ski area means Verbier snow conditions are excellent throughout the season with an abundance of snow. For daredevil skiers, we recommend taking a cable car to the summit of the renowned Mont Fort, where the altitude is 3330m - the highest point in the ski resort. Admire the breathtaking view before skiing one of the most challenging black runs in the Alps.

    Zermatt

    With its reliable snow, magnificent scenery and Alpine charm, Zermatt offers some of the most attractive skiing in Europe. The Gornegrat cog railway and Sunnegga underground funicular access two of Zermatt’s four ski areas, a delight for intermediates who can cruise easy going pistes interlinked to more challenging reds. From the other end of the village the Matterhorn Express goes up to the smaller Schwarzsee area then skyward towards the Matterhorn Glacier Paradise complete with vast glacial panoramas and links over to the Italian resort of Cervinia. With a guide, off-piste potential is superb for both experts and those who wish to venture off-piste for the first time.

    St Anton

    The extensive slopes and varied terrain of the Arlberg holds the status as the largest linked ski area in Austria. With consistently high snowfall, St. Anton is a dream for expert skiers and competent intermediates with an array of steep runs and exceptional challenges off-piste. Interlinked St. Christoph offers more leisurely skiing on long, wide red and blue runs and lift access to the pistes of the Lech-Zürs-Warth-Schröcken area, where there’s fine scenic skiing and tremendous terrain for intermediates. Beginners will find dedicated nursery slopes in Lech and Zürs and gentle progressive runs.

    Kitzbuhel

    Steep reds and a handful of blacks, including the hair-raising Hahnenkamm downhill course, entertain the experts alongside plenty of opportunities to explore off-piste. From the centre of town, the Hahnenkamm gondola offers fast access to the resorts major ski area. On the other side of town another gondola takes skiers to the smaller Kitzbüheler Horn sector where there are higher level nursery slopes for beginners to progress to. Nearby Jochberg is only a 10 minute drive away and offers ski-in, ski-out access to the Kitzbühel ski area with a handy beginners area.

    Aspen

    The American glitterati’s ski town of choice, expect to find some of the most glamourous and serious slope-skimmers taking advantage of the surprisingly quiet slopes here.

    Vail

    Craggy pinnacles and panoramic wilderness are the welcome waggon to this haven of superior snow. Averaging over 300 days of sunshine a year, it’s no wonder cosmopolitan Vail has a bright and buzzing attitude.

    Whistler

    The ski resort has one of the longest ski seasons in North America with excellent snowfall records. Formed by two mountains – Whistler and Blackcomb – there are endless challenges on both peaks including extensive off-piste and backcountry skiing with a guide. The blissful variety and scope of the area provide an intermediate’s pic’n’mix of long cruising runs mixed with steeper challenges and with a reputation for unsurpassed heli-skiing and boarding, there are adrenaline-filled experiences suitable for good intermediate skiers and above.
