BEGINNERS – INTERMEDIATES - ALPINE CHARM

Long a fashionable choice of the beau monde, the authentic geniality of Megève is complimented by winter white vistas of the Haute-Savoie and the rugged stature of Mont-Blanc.

BEGINNERS – INTERMEDIATES - ALPINE CHARM

Long a fashionable choice of the beau monde, the authentic geniality of Megève is complimented by winter white vistas of the Haute-Savoie and the rugged stature of Mont-Blanc.

Megève’s partly pedestrianised centre exudes old town charm where horse drawn sleighs tour cobbled streets lined with designer boutiques, tea rooms and galleries. An open-air ice rink and medieval church complete the picture-perfect scene.

A high-energy slope-side party awaits skiers at 2000m courtesy of La Folie Douce while back in town a laid back après-ski scene prevails with sophisticated wine bars, cocktail bars and a jazz club. Activities and events for the whole family include a sledging area, treasure hunts, pushchair-friendly winter walks and hot air balloon rides.

The skiing

There is a relaxed feel to the skiing, which encompasses the areas of Mont d’Arbois, Rochbrune and Le Jaillet – a total of over 300km of pistes including some enchanting woodland runs and cruisy blues and reds. Intermediate skiers will be spoilt for choice across all three areas while beginners can progress from the nursery slopes to enjoyable easy green runs. Views up to Mont Blanc are simply breathtaking, as is the off-piste skiing for advanced skiers while bespoke ski lessons for children include ski kindergarten play for toddlers through to performance groups and freestyle courses for teenagers. High quality mountain restaurants are abundant making slope-side dining a delight.
