There’s no sitting still in North America; in fact, it could turn the most docile of travellers into get-up-and-goers. Yet depending on where you end up, there’s a different definition of high-octane. Ever-changing vistas wind down the West Coast of the US, keeping road trippers on their toes all the way to Mexico, where the four wheels of an off-road jeep are preferred for a desert safari.
You’d be forgiven for thinking the excitement subsides over on the Caribbean Islands, but it’s not all idyllic landscapes, lashings of rum, take-it-easy vibes and tales of buried pirate treasure. Those in the know divide their time between land and sea, choosing to charter a yacht for an island-hopping adventure filled with snorkelling, scuba diving and desert island sojourns.

The USA may change from state to state, but the enchantment of the American dream is eternal. Take the rollercoaster experience that is Florida for instance; blessed with year-round rays, the sunshine state hasn’t earned its nickname for nothing.
