Stretching from entrance to ocean, a sense of calm is seemingly built into the very fabric of Silversands Grenada, famed as the first major resort to open on Grand Anse beach in over 25 years.

Artfully infusing contemporary charm into the natural landscape of The Spice Isle, Silversands is the spot for low-profile luxury. Featuring the longest pool in the Caribbean at its centre, it not only commands an enviable place on one of Grenada’s best beaches, but weaves the tranquil ebb and flow of waves through the entire resort.

Minimalist by design, and mindful of its surroundings, owner Naguib Sawiris was drawn to the island for its breathtaking natural beauty, rich culture and welcoming people. Putting these at the forefront, the resort is a subtle celebration of Grenada. Exclusive in every aspect, its mature ambiance mixed with youthful style emphasise the serenity of the surrounding landscape (and makes a picture-perfect backdrop for the social media savvy). Cultural celebration continues with experimental cuisine. Chefs at restaurant Asiatique apply Thai cooking methods to Grenadian-grown ingredients. Where notes of global influence appear – in French décor or Asian-inspired cookery – they only enhance The Spice Isle’s existing splendour.

A sense of
place

Everything is an artform on the Grand Anse. From the tranquil waters shimmering in glorious sunlight, to the original artwork selected for each room.

It’s no surprise then, that the spa is a standout. Offering to soothe the senses through an ice room, sauna, steam room or hammam, whiling away leisurely hours is all too easy. And though the building itself is a thing of beauty, it’s the massages we love most.

…divine dining without distraction.

Exploring the flavour palettes of Grenada may lead you from bean to bar in a chocolate experience. Or, to high tea at the Tower Estates, touring the gardens of a grand Grenadian Heritage Home. For elegant evenings however, the resort has a relaxed yet refined atmosphere. Both community and culture are said to inspire at Silversands, where the Grenadian Grill serves a selection of Mediterranean and, of course, Grenadian dishes. Set to a backdrop of sunset vistas, guests are serenaded by talented instrumentalists as dusk falls.

    Wake up
    here

Cool-toned and contemporary, the Silversands villas are the epitome of understated luxury. Spacious and serene, expect a style that appears effortlessly en vogue but is every bit intentional. Statement pieces in dark shades accentuate rooms of sand and tan, branching away from the more vibrant colours characteristic of the Caribbean. Of course, beachfront villas are best. Quietly private, sink into the seclusion of a personal pool. Or, feel the sand between your toes on the soft shores of the Grand Anse. This is modern, mature minimalism.
