Having conquered the ultra-luxury hospitality and lifestyle space on land, it only makes sense that Aman’s next goal was the ocean. The dream has soon been realised, but make no mistake, Amangati – the brand’s first vessel – is very much an Aman property above all else, despite its aquatic status.
The spa takes centre stage, creating an atmosphere of effortless calm and, like its siblings ashore, dining is a real highlight with all venues, save for one, serving à la carte Japanese or Mediterranean menus. Suites are peaceful refuges that mirror the harmony of a washitsu, with some having their own Host Suites for families with staff. And when it comes to adventures outside of the shore excursions, a marina and six tender boats provide plenty of distractions.

The cornerstone of all Aman properties, the spa onboard Amangati is just as serene as its land-based counterparts. Ocean-facing treatment rooms are where therapies guided by four pillars are performed, with their own private terraces and whirlpool baths, and the Medi Spa is the place for more advanced treatments. A two-storey Japanese garden, Hammam, Banya, gym, beauty lounge and a yoga deck complete the experience.

Standout suiteThe yacht’s largest accommodation (accessed by private lift no less), the Aman Suite sits snugly at the stern of the fifth deck. Inside is a jaw-dropping study of contemporary elegance with the likes of separate dining and lounge areas, a private bar, king-size bed, private massage room and sauna, and floor-to-ceilings windows for uninterrupted views. The suite also comes with a dedicated host and can be joined with Suite 523 to make it two bedrooms.

Downtime on deckWater babies are in their element with Amangati’s marina, a springboard to the playground that is the Big Blue.
