Phuket / Banyan Tree Spa Sanctuary

Cradled within the exclusive enclave of Laguna Phuket, bordered by Bang Tao Bay and the Andaman Sea lies the legendary Banyan Tree Resorts, Phuket.

Set in over six hundred acres of lush tropical gardens, coconut groves, tranquil lakes and lagoons is a magnificent collection of luxurious appointed one to three bedroom private pool villas within three distinct resorts. Freestanding villas are designed to reflect the spirit of Thai architecture complemented by every modern amenity and an unrivalled service. Dining options encompass eight restaurants, bars and cafés – ranging from the casual to the elegant to the local to the international.

A host of extensive recreations include the award winning Banyan Tree Spa, two swimming pools, tennis, championship golf and Thai cookery classes. Younger guests are entertained at the Turtle Kids Club whilst the Quest Adventure programme at Laguna Phuket is perfect for teens seeking adrenaline-fueled activities. Serenely secluded on Bang Tao Bay lies Banyan Tree Spa Sanctuary, the boutique wellness resort embracing the five senses – sight, sound, touch, taste and smell.

Its twelve beautiful Spa Pool Villas epitomise romance, indulgence and rejuvenation. Surrounded by lotus strewn water, an elegant “floating” bedroom pavilion sits centrally within each villa – Thai silks drape the king-size bed, the soft fabrics from the canopy sway gently in the breeze. An inviting private pool, outdoor sunken bath, dedicated in-villa private spa, steam room and Thai sala with day beds completes the experience for pure relaxation.

Treatments can be enjoyed in-villa or at the award winning spa using the finest oils and herbs, applied by Master Therapists who use a repertoire of signature Banyan Tree Spa massage techniques. Energize the body and mind with yoga in the Orchid Garden. Dining, too, is bespoke, including healthy menus prepared to suit individual requirements, indulgent in-villa champagne breakfast and expertly flamed barbecues.

When to visit Thailand

Thailand is generally very hot and humid with distinct dry and rainy seasons. The best time to visit most resorts, including Phuket, Khao Sok, Krabi, Chiang Mai and Chiang Rai, is from November to March, with the exception of Koh Samui which is best visited from December to August. However, with ever-changing weather patterns and excellent offers, it is well worth considering a holiday during the shoulder seasons.
